Our Path So Far
In 1999, recognizing the need for a private MRI facility in Coimbatore, Dr. K. S. Murugan, a visionary Radiologist, launched City's first standalone MRI centre equipped with a 0.5 Tesla MRI machine. This ground-breaking facility also introduced Coimbatore to superconducting magnet technology, previously available only in larger institutions.
Renowned for delivering exceptionally clear MRI images and paired with patient-focused diagnostics, the centre quickly became a trusted name in medical imaging.
In 2005, the centre took another leap by introducing the City's first 1.5 Tesla MRI system, keeping pace with rapid advancements in medical imaging technology.
By 2008, it had transformed into an all inclusive diagnostic hub, expanding its offerings to include a 128-slice cardiac CT scan, Ultrasound, X-ray, Mammography, and Bone mineral densitometry (BMD) services, all under one roof. This evolution marked the transition from Clarity MRI Centre to a more comprehensive Clarity Imaging Centre.
In 2017, responding to the growing demand for quality healthcare services in Coimbatore, Clarity Imaging Centre expanded by inaugurating a second centre at Trichy Road, Ramanathapuram. This new facility was strategically located to serve leading hospitals in the area, further strengthening its presence in the city.
Since its inception, Clarity Imaging Centre has been synonymous with excellence in diagnostic imaging. To uphold and validate its high standards, the centre sought and obtained NABH accreditation under the imaging category in 2015. This milestone made Clarity Imaging Centre, the first private imaging centre south of Chennai to earn this prestigious certification, highlighting it’s commitment to delivering quality imaging services.

Clarity Imaging Centre combines cutting-edge imaging technology with a dedicated team of experienced Radiologists, meticulously trained under the guidance of its founder, Dr. K. S. Murugan. The team has embraced subspecialisation in Radiology, allowing them to deliver enhanced diagnostic accuracy, especially in challenging clinical scenarios. With rapid advances in the medical field, this approach ensures that Clarity Imaging Centre remains at the forefront of modern clinical practice, staying aligned with the latest innovations and academic advancements in the field of medical imaging. To continue this legacy of excellence, his son, Dr. M. Adarsh, joined the team in 2021, bringing a fresh perspective and a commitment to advancing the centre’s tradition of providing precise and clinically relevant reports.
